Welcome to Wolfson Hillel Jewish Primary School

Please visit our admissions page for upcoming school tours. We can't wait to welcome you to our warm and outstanding school!

Please note, we are in the process of refreshing our website. Our new site will be launched in Autumn 2023.

At Wolfson Hillel we provide a secure, safe and stimulating learning environment we provide which enables our pupils to flourish.
Ofsted judged the school to be oustanding in all areas in June 2022. Click here to see how we acheived this, and a snapshot of the school in action.

“Every child deserves a champion- an adult who will never give up on them, who understands the power of connection and insists that they become the best that they can possibly be.” Rita Pierson.

We as a school aim to be your child’s champion. We always strive for excellence for every single child, in all they do.
As the Headteacher of Hillel, I have an overwhelming duty to improve the life outcomes for all the children in my care and I believe the most important thing is to build a school based on kindness, where every child feels valued, has the ambition to excel in all aspects of their life and the self-belief that they can.

At Wolfson Hillel, we aim to help our pupils develop their ‘Jewish Identity’ by fostering opportunities for them to engage in Jewish learning, traditions and culture. Our pupils have many opportunities to learn about Israel and their religion and much of this is done experientially.

We aim to be a cutting edge school, preparing children for their lives in the quickly evolving 21st century.  We are a team full of life-long learners- always eager to advance our school. We have a holistic approach to education and aim to develop our children academically, emotionally and physically.  Emphasis is placed on identifying each child’s successes and areas for development to enable them to make progress. We recognise that every single one of our children has the potential to succeed. There should be no child left behind- it is our job as educators to keep striving to get it right for all of our children so that they have the best chances in life.

Our pupils learn to be good citizens - aware of their roles in their communities, in society and in the wider world. We promote the values, knowledge and skills that will enrich their Jewish lives and help them to become responsible members of society.
National Curriculum test results show our continued academic success and Ofsted and Pikuach Reports underline the effectiveness of our approach.

All our children are special, whatever their capabilities and needs, and every parent is a valued member of our school community. As a headteacher, it is fundamental to me that all members of our school community are treated with kindness, empathy and equity so their potential is recognised and they are supported to be the best they can be, because the children in our school don’t care how much we know, until they know how much we care.

The best way to find out about our provision and facilities is to experience them! A visit to Wolfson Hillel will quickly confirm that our learning environment is both positive and encouraging and that our extensive facilities help to support our outstanding offer.

I feel so honoured to be the Headteacher of Wolfson Hillel and will always strive to make the school the best we can be- after all these are the most formative years of our children’s lives and we want to make the very most of this time for them.
