Welcome to Wolfson Hillel Primary School

On your virtual visit you will learn a great deal about our School and the secure, safe and stimulating learning environment we provide which enables our pupils to flourish .

Originally opened in 1992, we are a two-form entry voluntary aided Jewish nursery and primary school with a maximum pupil roll of 480.

Ofsted judged the school to be oustanding in all areas in March 2017. Click here to see how we acheived this and a snapshot of the school in action.

At Wolfson Hillel, we aim to help our pupils develop their ‘Jewish Identity’ by fostering opportunities for them to engage in Jewish learning, traditions and culture. Our pupils have many opportunities to learn about Israel and their religion and much of this is done experientially.

We have a holistic approach to education and aim to develop our children academically, emotionally and physically.  Emphasis is placed on identifying each child’s successes and areas for development to enable them to make progress. Our pupils learn to be good citizens - aware of their roles in their communities, in society and in the wider world. Our physical education programme has developed significantly over the past several years to ensure our pupils learn a range of skills and have opportunities to develop their abilities in a range team sports and clubs.

Our curriculum concentrates on the skills young people will need in the 21st century - linguistic, scientific, mathematical, technological and problem solving. We are aware of the ever evolving world of technology with which our children engage and plan provision that aims to support this great need. We also provide opportunities for children to develop through the expressive subjects of music, art and drama. We promote the values, knowledge and skills that will enrich their Jewish lives and help them to become responsible members of society. National Curriculum test results show our continued academic success and Ofsted and Pikuach Reports underline the effectiveness of our approach.

All our children are special, whatever their capabilities and needs, and every parent is a valued member of our school community. The best way to find out about our provision and facilities is to experience them! A visit to Wolfson Hillel will quickly confirm that our learning environment is both positive and encouraging and that resources are extensive and up-to-date.

Enjoy your virtual visit. We hope you will agree that our school is an ideal place for your child.
